Using Transfer Location

1. When you first enter into this option, the following message appears on the screen:

"This is a utility program that allows you to transfer LOCATION information from one location ID to another location ID. Both location IDs must exist in the system prior to using this utility. You may enter location transfers at any point during the day. Enter all transfers in the order in which you want them to occur. The actual updating of all files will occur after all other end of day processing has been completed. After transferring all information to the new location ID, the old location ID will be deleted."

2. Simultaneously, a Select An Option window appears and displays the following choices: EXIT, ADD, and PRINT LIST. A listing of transfers entered earlier in the day will also appear.

• If you select EXIT, the system will leave this option.
• If you select ADD, the system will allow you to enter a location to transfer. A Select An Old Location window will appear.
  • Select the old location you want to transfer from. Your selection will display in the Old Location ID field.
  • The Select An Old Location window will appear again. Select the new location you want to transfer the old location to. Your selection will appear in the New Location ID field.

  The name of both locations will display and command options will appear:

  • Select Add to save the transfer of location information.
  • Select Exit to exit without saving the transfer.
• If you select PRINT LIST, the system will print a list of all location transfers waiting to be processed.
• If you select one of the listed location transfers, command options will appear: Delete and Exit.
  • If you select Delete, the system will delete the specified transfer from the system.
  • If you select Exit, the system will return to the Old Location ID field.
